Humble

Last week, I ranted on about people with these enormous and very elaborate kitchens. People who use them for a display of their wealth and nothing more. I don't think it really bothers Honey that these beautiful facilities aren't used, he just doesn't get it....Neither do I.

Our home is far from any of the ones he works in. It's average in size and tucked in a wooded area on a back road. However, it's ours, it's comfortable and it's welcoming.....And truly, ANYONE is welcome in our home. We (well, Honey) as remodeled more than half the house already and has done ALL of the work himself.....Yes, including the kitchen. It's a modest little room but I love it and spend most of my time there. There has been a ridiculous amount of food cooked in it, including canning and freezing. Many conversations at the kitchen table, ones that would make you laugh and cry. The kids homework and projects are done there, clothes are folded and many happy meals take place in this little room.
